Why the focus is narrow

A single-principal firm covering everywhere covers nowhere. The regions below are the ones where we hold the sponsor relationships, know the candidate market at first hand, and can run a conversation in the language the business is actually run in.

The regions

Benelux. The Netherlands and Belgium, including the language split that most London firms get wrong.

DACH. Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where the Mittelstand succession and carve-out market drives most of the senior finance hiring.

Nordics. Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, where the sponsor community is small, English-speaking and unusually well connected.

United Kingdom. The home market, and the base from which the European work is run.

Transatlantic mandates

A recurring brief is the US sponsor holding a European asset. The deal team sits in New York, Boston or Chicago, the business sits in Rotterdam, Stuttgart or Malmo, and nobody in the firm has hired in that country before. That is the gap a London firm with genuine European coverage is for.
